Accounting Supervisor (CPA)

I. Job Summary

The General Ledger Accounting Supervisor/Officer manages the core financial records, ensuring all daily transactions, journal entries, and account reconciliations comply with accounting standards.

II. Key Responsibilities

• Journal Entries: Prepare, record, and verify monthly journal entries, accruals, and prepayments
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile balance sheet and bank accounts to guarantee data accuracy
• Month-End Close: Lead or assist in the timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial close packages
• Financial Reporting: Assist in generating financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets
• Compliance: Follow regulatory requirements like GAAP or IFRS and support internal/external audits

III. Qualifications

• Graduate of BS Accountancy; preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• 4-5 years of experience in an Officer or Junior Managerial role in general ledger, financial accounting and reporting in retail, supermarket, FMCG or fast food industry; preferably has background as General Ledger Accountant
• Has strong background on journal entries, account reconciliation, month-end and year-end closing processes, financial reporting & audit support
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and financial analysis tools, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems like SAP, Oracle or NetSuite
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulations
• Must display acts of integrity, trustworthy and can be relied on to act and speak with consistency and honesty
