Accounting Supervisor (Mandarin)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor (Mandarin) to join PT Eastroc Vitamin Energy Indonesia in Central Jakarta. This is a full-time position that offers a strategic opportunity to lead and oversee the financial accounting and reporting functions of our organisation. As Accounting Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records, regulatory compliance, and the timely delivery of financial reports. Your proficiency in Mandarin will be essential for liaising with our regional partners and stakeholders. This role bridges operational excellence with financial governance, making it integral to the success of our business.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indonesian accounting standards and IFRS requirements
• Oversee the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy of all financial data
• Lead and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions and documentation
• Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities, preparing necessary documentation and supporting audit processes
• Communicate financial information to management and stakeholders using Mandarin when required
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Monitor and reconcile bank accounts, and manage cash flow activities
• Prepare tax compliance reports and ensure adherence to relevant regulations
• Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting department

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
• Strong proficiency in Mandarin Chinese (both written and spoken) for effective communication with regional partners
• In-depth knowledge of Indonesian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements
• Proficiency with accounting software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines
• Strong understanding of internal controls and risk management principles
• Experience with audit coordination and financial statement preparation
• Professional accounting certification (such as CPA or equivalent) is preferred
• Strong organisationals and time management skills to manage multiple priorities effectively
