Accounting Support

Overview:

Midwest Agri Chemico, Inc. has an opening for an accounting support position. The job includes assisting in all aspects of accounting including AP/AR and any other job assignments related to the position.

Responsibilities:

• Aid in daily financial tasks, such as recording transactions and verifying invoice accuracy.
• Input financial data accurately into accounting software or records.
• Process, review, and issue vendor payments with proper approval and coding.
• Assist in invoicing, tracking invoices, and following up on overdue payments.
• Ensure accurate bank and credit card statement matching.
• Generate essential reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
• Monitor expenses, maintaining budget compliance.
• Organize and update financial records, adhering to retention policies.
• Assist during internal and external audits, preparing documents and addressing auditor queries.
• Help the accounting team with miscellaneous tasks as required.

Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
• Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles is a plus.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
