Enterprise Business Services Inc. (EBS) is a California-based boutique accounting

and advisory firm. We specialize in fractional controller and CFO services for small and

mid-sized US-based businesses. Our work goes beyond bookkeeping — we partner

with clients to deliver timely financials, streamline processes, and offer strategic

financial insight. We’re a fully remote but closely-knit team that values precision,

ownership, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

Accounting:

 Take ownership of end-to-end accounting for multiple clients.

 Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or tax

basis as applicable.

 Lead monthly close processes: bank/credit card reconciliations, journal entries,

accruals, inter-company entries.

 Perform or review general ledger clean-up, balance sheet reconciliations, and

schedules.

 Support controller-level reporting: cash flow tracking, management reports, and

variance analysis.

Team Oversight:

 Review the work of junior team members where applicable.

 Provide guidance, documentation, and quality checks.

 Collaborate directly with US-based controllers and respond to review notes.

Process & System Support:

 Participate in onboarding new clients: initial setup, cleanup, and process design.

 Identify inefficiencies and contribute to SOP development.

 Assist with QuickBooks Online (QBO) system setups or transitions when needed.

Requirements

 Fully qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) – required.

 9-12 years of relevant experience in accounting (US or Indian GAAP).

 Strong experience preparing and reviewing financial statements.

 Prior experience working with US-based clients is preferred.

 QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience is strongly preferred; knowledge of other

platforms like Xero, NetSuite, or Sage is a plus.

 Advanced Excel skills for reconciliations and reporting (pivot tables, formulas,

lookups, etc.).

 Excellent communication skills — written and verbal — with a proactive

approach.

 High level of integrity, ownership, and professionalism in a remote setting.

Work Hours & Flexibility

 Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day.

 Overlap with the US team from 7:30 PM to 1:00 PM IST, with some flexibility.
