Background

Our client is an established organisation in Dublin with a growing finance team.

They are looking for an Assistant Accountant to support the wider finance function across month-end, reconciliations, reporting and day-to-day accounting activities. This is a strong opportunity for an Accounts Technician or part-qualified accountant looking to build on their experience within a supportive finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Complete bank, balance sheet and control account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with VAT reporting and compliance.
• Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Assist with management accounts and financial reporting.
• Prepare financial reports and ad-hoc analysis.
• Support audit requirements and year-end processes.
• Assist with process improvements across the finance function.

Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience within an accounting or finance role.
• Accounting Technician or part-qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, debits and credits.
• Experience with month-end and account reconciliations.
• Good Excel and accounting systems experience.
