Accounting Technician

Belgian Parcel Service (BPS) is a specialised healthcare logistics company and part of the Logista Group. Based in Zaventem, we play an important role in the safe and reliable distribution of pharmaceutical products across Belgium, combining GDP compliance, operational excellence and a strong commitment to service quality.

We are currently looking for an Accounting Technician to temporarily substitute one of our employees who will be on a temporary leave from the Company. This leave is estimated in approximately 9 months.

Mission

Ensure the correct registration of all documents, control of accounting, banks, and taxes for BPS.

The ideal candidate will have substantial exposure to monthly closing processes, forecasting and budgeting, and customer billing. They will be organized and approach each issue with an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Accounting documents, invoices, credit notes, estimations, accruals
• Opening customers and suppliers in the system
• Reconciliation of Accounts Receivable, Payable, General ledgers
• Posting of fixed assets and amortizations
• Payments
• Charge bank statements in the system
• Preparation of bank reconciliation
• Archive of all accounting documentation
• Preparation of maps to support the monthly closing
• Preparation of the VAT and CIT declarations
• Support the annual financial audit
• Support the preparation of the annual accounts

Qualifications

• 3+ years' of professional accounting experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or equivalent experience
• MS Office and Excel (Mandatory) SAP (Desirable)
• Language: French and English (Mandatory)
• Financial awareness
• Availability on monthly closing days and reporting
