What they need

BRING BALANCE TO THE BOOKS—AND YOUR CAREER. The Opportunity Some people dread the thought of paying bills or balancing their cheque book. Not you. In fact, you’ll admit you get a bit of a thrill from making the numbers line up. You’re in your element when solving problems and keeping the big picture in mind, but you never lose sight of the details. And we like that about you.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Technician to join our Finance team. In this role, you’ll keep our financial records accurate and complete, while providing outstanding service to both internal and external clients. From reconciling accounts to preparing reports, you’ll be the accounting action hero who saves the day with your eagle-eye precision.

A Place to Belong AMA is committed to an inclusive, respectful, and accessible environment for all. If you require accommodation at any point during the hiring process, we’re here to support you. Please reach out to [email protected] and let us know how we can help.

AMA is more than a workplace; it’s a family. Together, we help protect the things that matter most to our more than one-million members—everything from roadside safety to retail savings, food security to childhood well-being. And with operations that span automotive, registries, travel, insurance and more, the opportunities to grow with us are almost limitless!

About Building on a century of proud service in Alberta communities, we’re passionate about making a meaningful difference in the places where we live and work. And that all begins with our people. As part of the AMA team, you’ll enjoy:

  • Employer-paid retirement savings program, including 5% AMA contribution and 5% matching.
  • Employee-exclusive discounts on travel, insurance, memberships, driver education, registry services, and more.
  • Free travel medical insurance for you and your immediate family.
  • Ongoing professional development, with unlimited learning opportunities, and dedicated time for personal growth.
  • Paid vacation and personal days, including three weeks of vacation to start, a Me Day, a Volunteer Day, and the option to purchase additional vacation time.
  • Flexible work models that make sense for your lifestyle.

  • Someone who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service.
  • A professional with integrity and a strong work ethic.
  • You have an unmatched attention to detail.
  • Quick to adapt to new systems, including Workday and Excel skills.
