Accounts Administrator

About the role

Good Honest Products is seeking a part-time Accounts Administrator to actively manage the day-to-day operations of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This role is critical to ensuring smooth business operations, maintaining compliant financial records, and providing flexible administrative support to meet the evolving needs of the business.

The successful applicant must be based in Christchurch, however flexibility can be offered around working onsite at the office or remotely from your own space.

Key responsibilities

• Process creditor invoices within GlobalBake system, investigate discrepancies, and reconcile supplier statements.
• Execute payment runs, managing weekly, monthly, and ad-hoc payments.
• Allocate incoming receipts to sales invoices and proactively follow up on overdue accounts.
• Provide back-up support for processing sales orders and dispatch dockets.
• Maintain the cash flow forecast sheet to ensure accurate financial visibility.
• Assist with monthly accounts preparation, including inventory journals and prepayment allocations.
• Maintain the fixed asset register and support broader administrative and factory tasks as required.
• Prioritise workloads efficiently to ensure critical business tasks are executed with urgency and accuracy within the part-time hours.

About you

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing full-function Accounts Administration.
• Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills and strong proficiency across the wider MS Office Suite.
• Proven capability to learn new software and adapt quickly to specialized systems.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Sharp attention to detail combined with strong problem-solving abilities.
• A quick starting date will be welcomed.
