Accounts & Admin Executive

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts & Admin Executive , the company is located in the Central Region on a full-time basis. This is a key position within our Finance and Administration department, offering the opportunity to play an integral role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth operation of our administrative functions. You will contribute to the financial integrity and operational efficiency of our organization, working with a team that values precision, attention to detail, and professional excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and timeliness
• Preparing and maintaining financial records, ledgers, and supporting documentation in compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Assisting with monthly account reconciliations and identifying and resolving discrepancies
• Recording journal entries and maintaining the general ledger with precision
• Processing invoices, purchase orders, and payment vouchers for approval and payment
• Supporting the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review
• Managing administrative tasks including data entry, filing, and record-keeping
• Liaising with internal departments and external vendors regarding account queries and documentation
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and cash management activities
• Supporting the accounts team with month-end and year-end closing procedures

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail with an ability to work with large volumes of data
• Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with professionalism
• Reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines consistently
• Experience in the shipping or maritime industry is advantageous
