The role is 4 days per week, initially working 3 days from our South Brisbane office and 1 day from home. Once you are established in the role and comfortable working independently, there is flexibility to move to 2 days in the office and 2 days from home.

Key responsibilities

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping using Xero
  • Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Processing supplier invoices, payments and statement reconciliations
  • Preparing and issuing customer invoices
  • Monitoring client invoice and payment statuses through HubSpot
  • Recording and maintaining payment information in Airtable
  • Proactively following up overdue accounts and outstanding payments
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Payroll and superannuation processing
  • Preparing BAS, IAS and payroll tax
  • Maintaining insurances, Workcover and relevant insurance and financial registers
  • Handling general office administration where required.

About you

  • Organised, reliable and comfortable taking ownership of your work
  • Strong attention to detail and enjoy keeping things on track
  • Confident following up with clients and suppliers when required
  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping, accounts or finance administration role
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Experience with payroll, AP/AR and bank reconciliations
  • Experience preparing BAS and IAS
  • Confidence following up overdue accounts and managing debtor communications
  • Strong technology skills and the ability to quickly learn new software and systems
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with data

Benefits

  • 4-day working week
  • Hybrid working with increased work-from-home flexibility once you're established
  • Birthday leave – take an extra day off to celebrate your birthday
  • Friday afternoon socials with the team
  • Quarterly team-building activities
  • A supportive team and leadership group that genuinely cares about workplace culture
