ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT (AP)

We are looking for a qualified, highly capable, experienced, result driven and motivated Accounts Assistant for to join our Finance department and help us to continue with our expansion.

Reporting directly to the Singapore Finance Team Lead, you will have responsibility to support the Finance Team Lead in managing the Accounts Payables function for Singapore. The position is based in our KL Office.

Responsibilities include:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable function
• Ensure supplier invoices are entered accurately into accounting system
• Liaise with respective departments and suppliers to resolve any discrepancies before posting of invoice and release payment
• Prepare supplier and landlord payment transactions.
• Perform payment setoffs in accounting system
• Preparation of monthly supplier reconciliations and follow up on outstanding items
• Prepare and submit monthly withholding tax returns and arrange for the corresponding tax payments.
• Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare balance sheet schedules.
• Prepare journal entries and adjustment as needed to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Any other ad-hoc assignment as required by superior

The successful candidate will have the following attributes:

• Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree.
• 2 years relevant experience with 1 years in Junior Executive role.
• Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with excellent written & spoken English.
• Ability to work as part of team in a fast pace, continually changing environment.
• Ability to identify areas of improvement and to develop and implement process improvements and SOPs within the Finance area.
• Working knowledge in MS Office and experience in SAP ByD is an advantage.
