DNS Accountants Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and organised Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprentice to join their team in Harrow.

This is a great opportunity to gain real experience in a professional accounting environment while working towards a Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT) qualification with First Rung.

What will you be doing?

Working alongside the finance and administration team, you’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of accounting and administrative tasks, including:

• Processing timesheets and preparing invoices
• Raising invoices and supporting weekly payroll
• Carrying out bookkeeping tasks
• Following up with clients regarding outstanding invoices
• Updating HR and payroll systems
• Supporting the onboarding of new employees
• Preparing contracts and offer letters
• Processing pre-employment checks
• Assisting with management information and financial reports
• Responding to financial queries and helping resolve issues
• Supporting general finance and administration tasks

You’ll receive guidance and support from experienced members of the team while developing the skills you need to build a career in accounting.

The apprenticeship

You’ll work towards a:

Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT)
Level 2 Bookkeeping

You’ll also receive relevant on-the-job training and support from First Rung throughout your apprenticeship.

The qualification is equivalent to A Level standard and will give you practical experience in areas such as bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial information, accounting software and preparing financial reports.

Working hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
35 hours per week

Start date: 30 November 2026
Duration: 18 months
Positions available: 1

Entry requirements

Essential:

• GCSE Maths – Grade 4 or above

Desirable:

• GCSE English – Grade 4 or above
• GCSE Romanian – Grade 4 or above

You don't need previous accounting experience. What matters most is that you’re keen to learn, willing to work hard and interested in building a career in accounting.
