Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role supports the finance and administration functions across multiple business units, providing exposure to a broad range of financial and operational activities. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable, payroll, reconciliations, and general administration while working closely with managers and stakeholders across the organisation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounts professional who enjoys variety, takes pride in accuracy, and values being part of a collaborative team.

Accounts Payable

·       Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner.

·       Maintain supplier records and respond to supplier queries professionally.

·       Reconcile supplier statements and investigate discrepancies.

·       Prepare weekly payment batches in accordance with approved payment terms.

·       Complete monthly supplier reconciliations to ensure payment accuracy and integrity.

·       Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice discrepancies and payment matters.

·       Manage the end-to-end invoice workflow, including receipt, approval tracking, and general ledger coding.

Payroll Administration

·      Assist with the accurate and timely processing of payroll.

·      Maintain confidential employee payroll records and process employee changes.

·      Support compliance with applicable awards, legislation, and payroll deadlines.

·      Work closely with HR and management on payroll-related matters.

Finance & Administration Support

·        Assist with month-end processes, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

·        Maintain accurate, organised, and audit-ready financial records.

·        Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager and wider business.

·        Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support efficient approval and payment processes.

·        Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.

·        Support the organisation's goals, values, and commitment to operational excellence.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Essential Criteria

·       At least 3 years' experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, or a similar finance role.

·       At least 3 years' payroll processing experience.

·       Strong working knowledge of Xero or a similar accounting system, including transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting.

·       Experience using Employment Hero Payroll or a similar payroll platform.

·       Sound understanding of payroll compliance requirements.

·       Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

·       Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.

·       Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.

·       Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

·       A collaborative, team-oriented approach.

·       High levels of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.

Desirable

  • Experience working in a small to medium-sized business environment.
  • Understanding of Australian payroll legislation, awards, and employment compliance requirements.

What We Offer

  • A supportive and collaborative team environment.
  • Exposure to multiple business units and a variety of finance and administration activities.
  • A varied and rewarding role with opportunities to contribute and grow.
  • A workplace that values professionalism, accountability, continuous improvement, and work-life balance.

If you are a motivated finance and administration professional who enjoys variety and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality work, we would love to hear from you.
