Accounts Assistant

Pultron Composites is Gisborne's global composites manufacturer, exporting our products around the world. Right now, we're looking for someone to join our Finance & Administration team for 12 months, covering maternity leave. This role is also front of house — the first face of Pultron that customers, contractors, and visitors see when they walk through our doors.

About the Role

You'll be the glue that helps our Finance & Administration team run smoothly — from accounts payable and supplier reconciliations through to general office administration. You'll also be at our front desk, so how you present, and how you keep our reception and shared spaces looking, matters just as much as the numbers. It's varied, hands-on work, and a great way to build broad commercial experience while being the first impression people get of Pultron.

What You'll Do

• Process supplier invoices, reconcile payment batches, and keep our accounts payable ticking over accurately and on time.
• Be the first point of contact at reception — greeting visitors, contractors, and callers professionally and warmly, and representing Pultron well at all times.
• Take pride in keeping reception, the boardroom, and shared spaces clean, tidy, and presentation-ready throughout the day.
• Keep our filing, phone lists, and general administration running like clockwork.
• Look for smarter ways to do things — including using digital tools and AI to take the manual grind out of repetitive tasks.

What We're Looking For

• Pride in your own presentation and your workspace — as the first face of Pultron, you understand that first impressions count.
• Accuracy and attention to detail — the numbers need to add up, every time.
• A discreet, trustworthy approach — you'll see sensitive information.
• Confidence with computers and a genuine curiosity about AI and digital tools — if you're already using AI to work smarter in your day-to-day, we want to hear about it.
• A can-do attitude, happy to pitch in wherever the team needs a hand.
• Experience with an accounting system such as Accredo is a bonus, but not essential — we'll train the right person.
