Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our team at Pactumax International Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the Kaki Bukit East Region. In this role, you will provide essential support to our accounting department, assisting with the day-to-day financial operations of the company. You will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth running of our accounting functions, contributing directly to the financial health and compliance of the organisation.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording financial transactions, including invoices, receipts and expense claims
• Maintaining and updating accounts payable and accounts receivable records
• Preparing bank reconciliations and identifying discrepancies
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Filing and organising financial documents in accordance with company procedures
• Supporting the accounts team with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Responding to routine accounting enquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders
• Data entry and verification to ensure accuracy of financial information
• Assisting with petty cash management and expense reimbursements
• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures

What we're looking for

• A qualification in accounting, finance or a related field, such as an AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) qualification or equivalent
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
• A thorough understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Reliable and conscientious approach to work with a commitment to accuracy
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues
• Previous experience in an accounts department or similar role is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Sage 300, QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms would be advantageous
• 5.5 working days
