Accounts Assistant

About the role
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our growing team at HAP FATT MARINE PRODUCTS SDN. BHD. in Lahad Datu, Sabah. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing administrative and accounting support to ensure the smooth running of our finance operations.

What you'll be doing

• Processing and recording daily financial transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable and petty cash
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and preparing financial reports
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and month-end accounts closing processes
• Providing support with the preparation of invoices, statements and other financial documents
• Performing data entry and general administrative duties as required
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and issues

What we're looking for

• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in an accounts assistant or similar administrative role
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with an eye for detail
• Proficient in the use of Autocount accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
• Proactive and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia and English
