Accounts Assistant

We are looking for a Accounts Assistant to support our day-to-day accounting and finance activities. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining accounting records, invoice entries, payments, receipts, bank transactions and other routine accounts-related work.

Key Responsibilities

• Enter daily purchase, sales, receipt and payment transactions.
• Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers and other accounting documents.
• Maintain customer and supplier ledgers.
• Verify purchase bills and supporting documents.
• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable entries.
• Assist in customer payment follow-up and outstanding statements.
• Perform bank entries and bank reconciliation.
• Maintain petty cash and expense records.
• Assist in GST-related accounting and documentation.
• Assist with TDS-related accounting work.
• Prepare and maintain daily/monthly accounting reports.
• Maintain proper filing of bills, vouchers and financial documents.
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, banks and other departments when required.
• Support the senior accountant and management in day-to-day accounting activities.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
• Knowledge of Tally / ERP accounting software.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Basic knowledge of GST and TDS.
• Good knowledge of purchase and sales entries.
• Knowledge of bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.

Qualification

• B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification.
• 1–5 years of experience in Accounts / Finance.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or fabrication company will be an advantage.
