Accounts Assistant

About the role

The Accounts Assistant will support our Finance Manager in maintaining, reporting, and managing the school's finances. The ideal candidate will have experience in a finance role with a strong understanding of accounting principles.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, including monthly and annual accounts.
• Process invoices, record payments, and track expenses.
• Assist in reconciling bank statements.
• Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions.
• Update and maintain the general ledger.
• Assisting in the processing of student fees and tuition payments, including setting up payment plans and handling any inquiries.
• Reviewing and processing reimbursements.
• Providing support for any other duties of a financial nature as may be required by the Finance Manager.

About you

• A Diploma or equivalent qualification in accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel, and accounting software.
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
