ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT - DATA ENTRY

About the role

Rock Maestro Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Assistant - Data Entry to join our growing accounting team in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial records. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for inputting, verifying, and managing financial data with precision and attention to detail. This position is essential to supporting our bookkeeping and accounting operations, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.

What you'll be doing

• Entering financial data and transactions into accounting software and spreadsheets with accuracy and attention to detail
• Verifying the accuracy of data entry and reconciling discrepancies between source documents and system records
• Processing invoices, receipts, and other financial documents and filing them appropriately
• Assisting with bank reconciliations and identifying any outstanding items
• Maintaining organised records and documentation in both physical and digital formats
• Performing basic bookkeeping tasks such as recording income and expenses
• Supporting the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision
• Responding to queries regarding financial transactions and account balances
• Adhering to company policies and accounting procedures to maintain consistency and compliance

What we're looking for

• STPM, Diploma or higher qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Proven experience in data entry, bookkeeping, or accounts administration (minimum 1-2 years preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms is advantageous)
• Strong numerical aptitude and exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with team members
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanour
• Reliability and commitment to meeting deadlines
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
