Accounts Assistant (MYOB) 16749

About the role

An Accounts Assistant role working 8am to 5pm Perth time, providing financial and administrative support to the finance team using MYOB accounting software in a fully remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accurate data entry using MYOB
• Process sales and purchase orders
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly bank and account reconciliations
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure data integrity
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records
• Organize and maintain accounting documents and supporting records
• Support the finance team with general accounting and administrative tasks
• Ensure all transactions are recorded accurately and completed on time

About you

• Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant, Accounting Assistant, Bookkeeper, or a similar role
• Hands-on experience using MYOB is required
• Strong understanding of data entry, bank reconciliations, and order processing
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Preferred: Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Preferred: Bookkeeping or accounting background
