Accounts Associate

About the role

K.S. NG ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking an Accounts Associate to join our growing team in the East Region. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting career within a dynamic small practice environment. As an Accounts Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality bookkeeping and accounting services to our diverse client portfolio, supporting the smooth operation of our practice and contributing to the professional growth of the firm.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records, including journal entries, general ledger accounts, and reconciliations
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow analysis for client accounts
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with precision and attention to detail
• Assist in the preparation of trial balances, financial statements, and management accounts
• Support the completion of client tax returns and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Liaise with clients to gather financial information and clarify accounting matters
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure all records are organised and easily retrievable
• Assist with the execution of bookkeeping tasks using accounting software and relevant digital tools
• Support senior accounting staff and contribute to special projects as required

What we're looking for

• A relevant accounting qualification or diploma, such as ACCA, or equivalent professional certification
• Practical experience in bookkeeping or small practice accounting, ideally in an accounting firm or in-house finance department
• Strong proficiency in accounting software packages and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Sound understanding of accounting principles, bookkeeping procedures, and basic financial reporting
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and team members
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and develop your accounting knowledge
• Familiarity with Singapore's accounting standards and tax regulations is advantageous
