Accounts Clerk

About the role

Yim's Engineering is seeking an Accounts Clerk to join our finance team. This is a full-time position based in Shek Mun, Sha Tin District. As an Accounts Clerk, you will play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation by managing day-to-day accounting operations and supporting the wider finance function. This position is essential to ensuring our financial records are accurate, compliant and up to date, directly contributing to the company's operational efficiency and decision-making processes.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and recording financial transactions including invoices, purchase orders, expenses and payments

• Maintaining accurate and organised accounting records and ledgers

• Reconciling bank statements and accounts to ensure all transactions are correctly recorded

• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including chasing outstanding payments

• Data entry and verification of financial information into accounting systems and databases

• Supporting the preparation of payroll documentation and timesheets

• Assisting with general office administration duties related to the finance function

• Liaising with internal departments and external suppliers on financial matters as required

What we're looking for

• A qualification in accounting, bookkeeping or a related financial discipline

• Proven experience as an accounts clerk, accounts officer or in a similar bookkeeping role within the accounting or finance sector

• Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines

• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping and financial reconciliation

• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

• Reliability, trustworthiness and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
