ACCOUNTS CLERK

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable:
Prepare, verify, and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, customer billings, and payment records.

Reconciliations:
Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts to resolve financial discrepancies.

Data Entry:
Accurately key in financial transactions, receipts, and expense vouchers into accounting software (such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Sage).

Record Keeping:
Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for all financial documents.

Communication:
Follow up with vendors regarding payment statuses and contact clients regarding overdue accounts.

Month-End Support:
Assist the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures, report generation, and audit preparation.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience:
Prior experience in an accounts clerk, bookkeeper, or administrative finance role is preferred.

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Xero).

Soft Skills:
Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.Good communication and interpersonal skills.High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential financial information.
