ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

About the role

Camidas Foods Resources Sdn Bhd is seeking an Accounts Executive to join our accounting team on a full-time basis in Melaka. This role is central to maintaining the financial integrity of our organisation and supporting our business operations through accurate and timely financial management. As an Accounts Executive, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping activities, processing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your accounting expertise within a dynamic and growing food resources company.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments in the accounting system
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts and reconcile monthly bank statements
• Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable documentation
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and trial balances
• Support the preparation of year-end accounts and financial statements
• Manage petty cash and expense claims in accordance with company policies
• Perform data entry and maintain comprehensive financial records with attention to detail
• Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal departments regarding financial matters
• Assist in tax compliance activities and maintain relevant documentation
• Support the senior accounting team with ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required

What we're looking for

• Qualification in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related financial discipline (SPM, Diploma, or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred)
• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounts administration, ideally within a small to medium-sized business or practice environment
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Strong mathematical skills with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles, general ledger processes, and financial reconciliation
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Understanding of Malaysian tax regulations and compliance requirements is advantageous
• Reliability, integrity, and a professional approach to financial matters
