ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

About the role

HTY CONSTRUCTION is seeking an Accounts Executive to join our finance team on a full-time basis in Sitiawan, Perak. This is a key position within our accounting department, responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of our construction business. As an Accounts Executive, you will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position offers the opportunity to develop your accounting skills whilst contributing to the financial health of a growing construction company.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record daily financial transactions including invoices, expenses, and payments
• Maintain and reconcile bank accounts and general ledger accounts
• Prepare and process payroll documentation and employee expense claims
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements
• Conduct bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies
• Support the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
• Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve financial queries and issues

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 1-3 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Competency in data entry and record-keeping
• Familiarity with construction industry accounting is preferred but not essential
• Willingness to learn and develop your accounting expertise
