Accounts Executive

About the role

Master Systems is looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accounts Executive to support the day-to-day finance and accounting operations of our Singapore office. The role will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, handling accounts payable and receivable, preparing invoices, performing bank and ledger reconciliations, supporting month-end closing, and assisting with statutory and management reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the day-to-day accounting and finance activities of the Singapore office
• Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions in the accounting system
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP), including verification and processing of supplier invoices
• Manage Accounts Receivable (AR), including customer invoicing, receipts, and outstanding follow-up
• Prepare and issue sales invoices, credit notes, debit notes, and other financial documents
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and coordinate with the relevant departments for timely collection
• Perform bank reconciliations, customer reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, and general ledger reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Prepare schedules and supporting documents for monthly management reporting
• Assist in preparing financial statements and accounting reports as required

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline
• 1–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance
• Good accounting knowledge and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with the finance team and other departments
• Professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CA, CPA, or equivalent will be an advantage
• Experience in Singapore accounting practices will be preferred
• Experience in a trading, engineering, marine, shipping, or service organization will be an added advantage
