ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join GCM SOLUTION SDN BHD in a full-time position based in Lunas, Kedah. This role is fundamental to our financial operations, as you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting our finance team in delivering timely and precise financial reporting. The Accounts Executive plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our financial information and supporting the strategic decision-making process across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Recording and processing daily financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payment vouchers
• Reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
• Preparing and maintaining accurate accounting records in compliance with Malaysian accounting standards and regulations
• Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and management accounts
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including follow-up on outstanding payments
• Processing payroll information and ensuring timely salary payments to employees
• Supporting the audit process by preparing supporting documentation and schedules
• Liaising with external stakeholders such as banks, suppliers, and clients regarding financial matters
• Identifying and resolving discrepancies in financial records and reporting
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing procedures

What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance role
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and basic accounting principles
• Knowledge of Malaysian tax regulations and GST/SST compliance
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong organisational abilities and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
• Integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
