ACCOUNTS EXECUTIVE

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Executive to join CHL Construction Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position based in Johor Bahru, Johor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the accounting operations of our construction company. You will play a vital part in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our organisation, whilst supporting the broader finance team in delivering timely and accurate financial information to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Processing and recording accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconciling bank statements and resolving any discrepancies
• Preparing and maintaining general ledger accounts
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Processing employee expense claims and reimbursements
• Managing invoicing and ensuring timely collection of payments from clients
• Performing month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Supporting the accounts team with data entry, filing and administrative tasks
• Ensuring compliance with accounting principles and company policies
• Liaising with vendors, clients and internal departments regarding financial matters

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• 0-3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (Xero, QBO) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Competent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently
