Accounts Executive

About the Role

We are seeking an Accounts Executive to join our team at Hong Guan Tackle (M) Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Gelang Patah, Johor. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the company and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting to support business decision-making.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliation, general ledger (GL), journal vouchers (JV), stock, credit notes (CN) and debit notes (DN).

• Preparing and submitting management reports, including financial statements and other relevant documentation in a timely manner.

• Providing administrative and financial support to the finance team as needed.

• Following up closely on all outstanding customer invoices and informing relevant departments of any doubtful debts.

• Performing other ad hoc duties as assigned by the superior and/or managing director.

• Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the accounting function.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum Diploma in Accounting, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.

• Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications (experience with SQL Accounting System is an advantage)

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders

• Willingness to support yearly stock counts and liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, bankers, and other third parties as needed
