Responsibilities:

• Handle assigned accounting functions, including Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP) and General Ledger (GL).

• Ensure accounting transactions are accurately and timely recorded in the accounting system with proper supporting documentation.

• Process supplier invoices, prepare customer invoices and monitor outstanding customer balances and collections.

• Prepare payment vouchers, maintain cash book records and handle banking-related transactions.

• Record accruals, prepayments, fixed assets depreciation, intercompany balances and other closing adjustments, where applicable.

• Prepare and review accounts receivable reports, including customer ageing reports, customer statements and other relevant monthly reports.

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ledger reconciliations and reconciliation of relevant balance sheet accounts.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor and customer master data, including payment details, contact information and other relevant information.

• Prepare supporting schedules, reconciliations and documentation for annual audits, tax matters and statutory compliance requirements.

• Perform monthly account analysis and participate in month-end closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Investigate and follow up on accounting discrepancies, outstanding items and reconciling differences.

• Ensure proper filing and maintenance of accounting records and supporting documents.

• Perform other accounting, finance and ad-hoc duties as assigned by the immediate superior.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma in Accounting/ LCCI certificate or equivalent.

• At least 2 to 5 years of working experience in accounting or related field will be an added advantage.

• Computer literate especially in AutoCount accounting software/ ERP related accounting system/ Microsoft Word and Excel will be an added advantage.

• Possess strong commitment, good communication skills, able to work independently and self-motivated.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to meet tight deadlines.

• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Applicant must be willing to work at Seberang Jaya, Penang.
