Accounts Executive

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Account Executive to join our insurance agency. The role focuses on handling insurance premiums, commission reconciliation, client accounts and daily accounting transactions, as well as supporting the finance and administrative functions of the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily accounting transactions and maintain accurate financial records

• Prepare and process insurance premium payments to insurance companies

• Monitor and reconcile premiums received from clients against insurance company records

• Check commission received from insurers and ensure the amounts are accurate

• Monitor outstanding premiums and follow up on pending payments

• Perform bank reconciliation and payment reconciliation

• Prepare receipts & payment vouchers.

• Prepare monthly accounting reports and management reports

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing

• Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records

• Liaise with insurance companies, clients, auditors, tax agents and other parties when required

• Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

• Experience in the insurance industry or insurance agency is an added advantage

• Good knowledge of accounting principles and Microsoft Excel

• Good attention to detail and accuracy

• Able to work independently

• Responsible, organised and able to meet deadlines

• Good communication and coordination skills
