Accounts Manager / Assistant Manager

About the role
As an Accounts Manager / Assistant Manager at Servay Evergreen Sdn Bhd, you will oversee daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end closing. You will ensure accurate financial records, compliance with accounting standards, and support management with financial analysis and reports.

What you'll be doing

1. Responsible with the preparation and data entry accuracy of financial records and general ledger accounts
2. Managing general ledgers, accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including reconciliation and payment processing
3. Prepare reconciliation management reports monthly, quarterly and yearly including up-to-date financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards
4. Responsible in ensuring monthly bank reconciliations journal in complete timely including investigation of any unreconciled records
5. Enforcement and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
6. Supervising and mentoring junior accounting staff and supporting their professional development
7. Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assisting in tax filing and planning activities
8. Analysing financial data and providing reports to management to support decision-making
9. Formulate, implement and tracking of fixed asset registration, depreciation and disposal of asset as per regulation.

What we're looking for

1. A professional qualification in accounting, such as ACCA, CIMA or equivalent recognised certification
2. Minimum 5 years' relevant experience in retailing industry is an added advantage.
3. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting
4. Strong knowledge of accounting standards, including Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and tax regulations.
5. Meticulous and strong commitment to ensure accuracy and compliances as regulated
6. Proven supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop team members
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
9. Experience working with external auditors and regulatory bodies
