- Investigate missing log dockets, pricing, volume and other discrepancies
- Prepare logging, cartage and landowner reporting
- Prepare and process Buyer Created Invoices (BCIs) for clients and contractors
- Monitor outstanding debtors and follow up overdue accounts
- Complete month-end accounts and prepare reporting for management
- Assist with GST and other IRD requirements
- Liaise directly with external accountants
- Maintain accurate financial records, rates and supporting documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in accounts management, bookkeeping or a similar end-to-end accounts role
- Is confident using Xero
- Is strong with Excel/spreadsheets and comfortable working with large amounts of data
- Has solid experience with account and month-end reconciliations
- Can confidently investigate discrepancies and work with the relevant parties to resolve them
- Has a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Is organised and able to manage recurring weekly and monthly deadlines
- Is confident communicating with customers, suppliers, contractors and accountants
- Can work independently and take responsibility for the accounts function
Experience within forestry, transport, logistics or another operational industry would be advantageous but isn't essential.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary, based on experience
- Hybrid working, with a combination of home and office-based work
- Flexible working hours around core team hours
- Modern office
- Company laptop and mobile phone
- Comprehensive training and handover
- A high level of autonomy within the role
- Annual remuneration and performance reviews
- Opportunity to grow with a growing New Zealand business
