Accounts Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting and finance operations, including AP, AR, GL, cash flow and bank reconciliation.
• Prepare timely monthly management accounts, financial reports, P&L and balance sheet.
• Manage product costing, manufacturing costs, inventory valuation and cost variance analysis.
• Monitor raw materials, WIP and finished goods inventory and investigate stock variances.
• Prepare and monitor annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
• Analyze financial and operational performance and provide recommendations to management.
• Monitor gross margins, production costs, wastage and overheads.
• Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with accounting and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks and relevant authorities.
• Lead, supervise and develop the accounting team.
• Work closely with Production, Procurement, Warehouse, Sales and Operations to improve cost control and financial performance.
• Support management in financial planning, business analysis and process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5–8 years of relevant accounting/finance experience, preferably with 2–3 years in a managerial/supervisory position.
• Strong experience in manufacturing accounting and product costing.
• Experience in inventory management, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
• Candidates with FMCG, food manufacturing or consumer products experience will have an added advantage.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA or MIA is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of integrity, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
