Accounts Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance across the Group's diverse business portfolio, including retail, hospitality, food & beverage, leisure, and shared services. The role is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance requirements, and supporting the overall finance function across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including AP, AR, GL, bank reconciliation, and fixed assets.
• Manage monthly and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare and review management accounts and financial reports.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Supervise and guide accounting team members.
• Support finance-related projects and ad-hoc assignments as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Professional qualification (MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) is preferred.

• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role.

• Strong knowledge of MFRS, taxation, and statutory compliance requirements.

• Experience handling full set accounts, financial reporting, and month-end/year-end closing.

• Experience in a Group of Companies environment, including multiple entities and intercompany transactions, will be an added advantage.

• Exposure to Retail, Hospitality, Food & Beverage (F&B), Leisure, or Shared Services operations will be an added advantage.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

• Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines.
