Accounts Manager

About the role

This is a varied, hands-on role covering accounts payable and receivable, payroll, superannuation, invoicing, reconciliations and general administration. You will also assist with customer enquiries and day-to-day business operations. Working with a small team, you'll gain exposure to all areas of a successful small business, including accounts, customer service, logistics and general operations.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Accurately enter supplier invoices into Reckon.
• Process payroll and superannuation accurately and on time.
• Complete bank and account reconciliations.
• Prepare and issue monthly customer statements.
• Follow up overdue and outstanding accounts in a professional manner.
• Read and process purchase orders, prepare customer invoices and organise outgoing freight.
• Maintain accurate financial and administrative records.
• Assist with answering incoming calls, customer enquiries and taking or transferring messages.
• Assist with counter sales and general customer service.

About you

• Previous experience and proficiency with Reckon accounting software is essential.
• Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently.
• A positive, practical and willing attitude.
• Comfortable working as part of a small team where everyone helps where needed.
