Accounts Manager: Job Description

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Manager to run our day-to-day accounting, keep our books accurate, and make sure we stay compliant with statutory requirements. You'll work closely with management to provide financial insights that support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle: bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and monthly/annual closings
• Prepare and review financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, invoicing, and vendor/client reconciliations
• Process GST, TDS, and other statutory filings accurately and on time
• Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow
• Prepare budgets, forecasts, and MIS reports for management
• Coordinate with auditors and the CA for audits and tax filings
• Oversee payroll processing and expense claims
• Maintain proper documentation and internal financial controls
• Supervise and guide junior accounts staff

Requirements

• B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent; CA Inter or ICWA is a plus
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, ideally in a senior role
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and Indian accounting standards
• Proficiency in Tally Prime / Zoho Books and advanced MS Excel
• Good analytical, communication, and organisational skills
• High integrity and attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks
