Accounts Manager - Fulltime

As an Accounts Manager, you will be a quick learner, have a strong work ethic and a sense of humour.  This can be a challenging role therefore a high level of motivation with the confidence to manage issues quickly and efficiently when they arise. You are self-managing, process driven, able to manage a multitude of tasks whilst ensuring a high level of attention to detail.

In addition to contributing to the professional environment within the Irelands' team, the ideal applicant will display the following:

• Residential Property Management experience with some knowledge of the NZ Residential Tenancy Act is very valuable for this tole.
• Competent computer literacy, familiar with Palace and Microsoft products preferably. Comfortable in learning new software applications quickly.
• Daily bank download of Trust account, reconciliation and report to team members communicating un-reconcilable adjustments and ingoing payments. Managing suspense account.
• Complete mid-month and end of month owner and supplier payments.
• Responsible for monitoring tasks in the team workflow are complete prior to mid-month and end of month payouts and all relevant checks are carried out.
• Processing and maintenance of data, journal entries, invoices, landlord, creditor and tenant refunds and payments.
• Processing Tenant invoices and raising Landlord creditor disbursements, overpaid rents and owner holds.
• To maintain data accurately in the MRI Palace system.
• Banking cash as required.
• Overpaid rents; obtain bank account details for refunds, processing and recording.
• Month end archiving of vacated tenants and lost managements.
• Answer owner queries by phone/mail regarding payment and statement requirements.
• On- Charging of Trade Me online listings fees, monthly letting fees and purchases made by Irelands where applicable.
• Check tenant invoices, break leases etc, payable to owners and agents.
• Processing of CCC and Selwyn Water invoices, on charging tenants, processing owner invoice and reimbursement.
• Input of Opex invoices to tenants of commercial properties and monitoring payments.
• Xero Payroll – processing company payroll for all team members including bonuses and commissions.
• Xero – entering and coding all income and expenditure, all creditor invoices and processing of 20th month creditors & Ad hoc payments.
• Monthly PAYE return and payment.
• Bimonthly GST return and payment.
• Quarterly FBT return and payment.
• Occasional other duties as required and instructed by the Managing Director.
• Strong proactive approach in preventing, negotiating and resolving issues or conflict.
• A high level of personal presentation.
• A passion for superior customer service.

To work within office policies, values and procedures and recommend any improvements to the Managing Director.
