The company is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to support its finance and accounting operations.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Support the Accountant with day-to-day finance and accounting activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and operating reports.
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly inventory.
• Prepare and analyse inventory reports to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of inventory records.
• Coordinate and participate in physical inventory counts.
• Investigate and identify the causes of inventory variances.
• Assist with internal audit activities and other finance-related assignments.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years' relevant post-qualification experience.
• Good knowledge and practical experience using Sage accounting software is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Strong inventory management and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent numerical and analytical abilities.
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Commercially aware with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
