Accounts Payable Assistant

You’ll be responsible:

• Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
• Manually raise and match invoices against purchase orders and receipted values.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Liaise with project teams on non-PO transactions (approximately 80% of non-PO activity).
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Support high-volume AP operations across the UK and Europe.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and finance procedures.

You’ll need to have:

• Accounts Payable experience.
• Understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits and credits.
• Basic bookkeeping knowledge.
• Experience processing and matching invoices against purchase orders.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Able to work efficiently in a high-volume environment Previous experience using Oracle or Oracle Payables.
• Exposure to manual invoice processing rather than highly automated AP environments.
• Experience supporting UK, European, or international operations.
• Shared services or multinational company experience.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly coordinating with operational/project teams.
• Experience with ERP systems, ideally Oracle Payables.
