Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required ; associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and accounts payable/procure-to-pay processes
• Proficiency in accounting/ERP software, such as QuickBooks and SAP, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with high-volume invoice processing and vendor management preferred

Responsibilities

• Review, code, and enter vendor invoices for payment, and match purchase orders and receiving documentation as required
• Verify pricing, quantities, and approvals before payment
• Prepare and process ACH and wire payments to vendors
• Research and resolve payment discrepancies and respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoice and payment status
• Set up and maintain vendor files, including W-9s and payment terms
• Organize and maintain accounts payable records in accordance with company policies
• Reconcile vendor statements and the accounts payable subledger to the general ledger
• Prepare accounts payable aging reports and follow up on outstanding items
• Assist with accounts payable accruals and 1099 preparation
• Support the Accounts Payable Manager during month-end and year-end close
