Accounts Payable Coordinator

The Headhunters have been engaged to find an experienced Accounts Payable Coordinator for a large and reputable Metro Detroit construction company. This is a wonderful opportunity for a 2+ year AP specialist or accounting professional looking for a forever role and company. The AP function and department are paperless so the ideal candidate will be someone coming from a larger entity or more sophisticated ERP systems and invoice / payment complexity. Candidates must be tech savvy with systems and MS Excel, and be great communicators. This is a fully onsite role with limited WFH opportunities. Our client is a great company with an outstanding culture. Desired base compensation range is $58k-62k, and includes annual bonus and a terrific benefits package.

Responsibilities:

• Reconciles invoices using systems to ensure accurate data is used for general ledger classifications and timely payments
• Leverage AP software automation tools to reduce manual entry, streamline workflows and reduce discrepancies
• Assists in the preparation of monthly reconciling journal entries and month-end close process
• Timely and accurately record EFT, ACH, wires, and manual payments
• Support accurate details for vendors and data by ensuring bill-to, remit-to, payment terms, and ACH details are accurate and timely maintained.
• Perform other ad-hoc tasks such as employee expense reimbursements, company credit card reconciliations and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years experience in Accounts Payable or general accounting.
• High attention to detail.
• Functional understanding of accounts payable processes like a 3-way match, accurately paying vendors, and properly using systems.
• Modest MS Excel skills like pivot tables and V-lookups
