Accounts Payable Director

Director of Accounts Payable On‑Site | Montebello, CA $130,000 – $150,000 per year Join a team that feels like family—and keep the financial engine running smoothly. We’re looking for a hands‑on Director of Accounts Payable to lead a team of 10–15, drive timely and accurate payments, and bring order and efficiency to a critical function that supports our communities.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, train, and manage a team of 10–15 AP staff, balancing workloads and developing talent
• Own the full AP cycle: ensure timely vendor payments, expense report processing, and accurate record‑keeping
• Maintain a comprehensive disbursement calendar, review AP registers, and drive monthly reconciliations
• Oversee 1099 filings, credit card payment processing, and petty cash management
• Spearhead AP process improvements and lead the department through an ERP conversion
• Partner with the Controller on reporting, analysis, and smooth onboarding of newly acquired entities

What You Bring

• Must have: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
• Must have: Minimum 5 years of experience in AP management, including leading teams
• Must have: Strong command of full‑cycle accounts payable and proven ability to meet tight deadlines
• Must have: High level of confidentiality, organizational skill, and a continuous improvement mindset
• Nice to have: Finance experience in a long‑term care or skilled nursing environment
