Accounts Payable Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable operations with precision and efficiency. Duties

• Lead and supervise the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices and payments.
• Oversee invoice approval workflows, ensuring adherence to company policies and internal controls.
• Manage accounts payable automation systems and integrate new financial software solutions such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle Financials to optimize workflows.
• Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) regulations and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards in all transactions.
• Perform account reconciliations, review journal entries, and analyze discrepancies to maintain data integrity.
• Coordinate with procurement, finance, and external vendors to resolve billing issues promptly.
• Prepare detailed reports on accounts payable metrics, aging reports, and cash flow forecasts using Excel data analysis techniques including VLOOKUP functions and formulas for accuracy.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while managing large volumes of data entry and invoice processing.
• Support audits by providing documentation, audit trail records, and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Drive continuous process improvements through automation initiatives using tools like Paychex, ADP, Kronos, or UltiPro to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on accounts payable management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Sage, or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms.
• Familiarity with financial software including Workday, QuickBooks, Quicken, Ceridian, or UltiPro for payroll and HRIS management.
• Deep understanding of financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, account reconciliation, and journal entries.
• Experience working within SOX compliance frameworks and implementing internal controls for financial processes.
• Excellent analysis skills with proficiency in Excel spreadsheets—formulas like VLOOKUP and advanced data analysis techniques are essential.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while managing high-volume invoice processing tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in data entry and account reconciliation activities.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across departments and resolving vendor inquiries efficiently.
