Accounts Payable Manager

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable operations with enthusiasm and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire invoice processing cycle, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and implement efficient payment workflows. Duties

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, data entry, validation, and payment processing using various financial software systems such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle.
• Supervise a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance on best practices for invoice approval, coding, and reconciliation.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards such as SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
• Oversee vendor relationships, resolve discrepancies promptly, and maintain accurate vendor records within systems like Paychex, ADP, or Ceridian.
• Automate accounts payable workflows through the implementation of electronic invoicing solutions and other automation tools to enhance efficiency.
• Conduct regular account reconciliations, analyze aging reports, and ensure timely resolution of outstanding invoices.
• Prepare detailed reports on accounts payable metrics using Excel data analysis techniques including formulas and VLOOKUP functions to support management decision-making.

Skills

• Extensive experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or UltiPro; proficiency in Excel spreadsheets for data analysis is essential.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
• Knowledge of compliance standards like SOX and familiarity with financial systems such as Workday or Kronos for payroll management and benefits administration.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with integrity while managing large volumes of data entry and invoice processing accurately.
• Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation, journal entries, and accounts payable automation initiatives.
• Experience in public accounting or corporate finance environments is highly desirable to ensure comprehensive understanding of accounting principles.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting.

Pay: $23.22 - $32.43 per hour
