Responsibilities

• Manage the full cycle of accounts payable processes, including invoice receipt, verification, coding, and payment authorization.
• Lead efforts to automate accounts payable workflows using financial software such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle ERP systems to enhance efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards in all transactions.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly through detailed analysis and communication.
• Oversee the handling of confidential information with integrity while managing large volumes of data entry and invoice processing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Human Resources, Payroll, and Accounting to ensure seamless integration of financial data.
• Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions using accounting systems like QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft; utilize Excel data analysis techniques such as VLOOKUP functions and formulas for reporting purposes.
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports to optimize cash flow management and vendor relationships.
• Support audits by preparing detailed documentation related to accounts payable activities and ensuring compliance with internal controls.

Experience

• Proven accounting and finance experience with a focus on accounts payable management in a corporate setting.
• Extensive knowledge of accounting software such as Workday, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, or Sage is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and account reconciliation processes.
• Experience working within SOX compliance frameworks and implementing accounts payable automation solutions.
• Familiarity with public accounting practices and governmental accounting standards is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze data using Excel spreadsheets, including advanced formulas like VLOOKUP and pivot tables for reporting insights.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in handling high-volume invoice processing and data entry tasks.
• Ability to communicate effectively across departments while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $78,624.14 - $106,052.73 per year
