Duties

• Lead and supervise the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and payments.
• Implement and optimize accounts payable automation systems such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle Financials to streamline workflows.
• Review and approve invoices, ensuring compliance with internal policies, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls, and external regulations.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly through effective communication with suppliers and internal departments.
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and audit documentation in accordance with GAAP standards.
• Oversee the management of multiple financial software platforms such as QuickBooks, Paychex, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Sage, Ceridian, PeopleSoft or similar systems for accurate data entry and reporting.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling data entry tasks related to accounts payable and receivable management.
• Prepare detailed reports analyzing invoice trends, payment cycles, and departmental expenses using Excel data analysis techniques like VLOOKUP functions and advanced spreadsheet formulas.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounting, human resources, and external auditors to support financial compliance initiatives.

Skills

• Extensive experience with accounting systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle Financials, QuickBooks or equivalent software platforms.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles along with experience in public accounting or corporate finance environments.
• Proficiency in Excel spreadsheets including formulas like VLOOKUP, pivot tables, macros, and data analysis tools for effective reporting.
• Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements related to internal controls over financial reporting.
• Familiarity with payroll management systems such as ADP or Kronos for integrated financial operations.
• Expertise in accounts payable automation processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors.
• Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while managing large volumes of data entry accurately.
• Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger reconciliation, and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
• Strong organizational skills in managing invoice processing workflows from receipt through payment while maintaining compliance standards.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with vendors and internal teams regarding invoice discrepancies or payment inquiries.

Pay: $70,600.00 - $99,000.00 per year
