Accounts Payable Manager

Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Manager leads the claims payables function within the TPA, ensuring operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and strong financial controls. This role partners with claims leadership and clients to deliver high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all claims payables operations across clients and lines of business
• Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and client requirements
• Manage audits, reporting, and financial risk related to claim payments
• Drive automation and system enhancements
• Monitor payment accuracy, timeliness, and KPIs
• Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and partners
• Hire, develop, and lead AP staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• 7–10+ years experience in AP, claims, or insurance operations
• 3+ years in leadership role
• Strong knowledge of TPA environments, claims processes, and compliance
