Accounts Payable Manager

Duties

• Lead and supervise the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of all vendor invoices and payments
• Oversee invoice validation, coding, and data entry using advanced accounting systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, or Oracle Financials
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards
• Manage the automation of accounts payable processes through tools like Bill.com, Concur, or similar financial software to optimize efficiency
• Reconcile accounts payable sub-ledgers with the general ledger through detailed analysis and account reconciliation procedures
• Review and approve journal entries related to accounts payable transactions and maintain meticulous records for audit purposes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including procurement, finance, and external vendors to resolve discrepancies promptly and effectively

Requirements

• Proven experience in accounts payable management within a corporate setting, with strong knowledge of accounting concepts such as double entry bookkeeping and financial compliance
• Extensive experience working with financial software including Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, ADP, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis using formulas like VLOOKUP functions and spreadsheet management for invoice processing and account reconciliation
• Familiarity with accounting standards such as GAAP and SOX compliance requirements for financial reporting and internal controls
• Strong understanding of payroll management systems like ADP or Kronos is a plus for integrated financial processes
• Excellent analytical skills for account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation tasks
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while maintaining high attention to detail in data entry and financial recordkeeping
