Accounts Payable Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to lead our accounts payable operations with energy and precision. Duties

• Manage the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice receipt, validation, coding, and timely payment processing using various financial software such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle.
• Oversee the automation of accounts payable workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce manual data entry errors.
• Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards across all payables activities.
• Reconcile accounts payable ledger with general ledger accounts regularly to maintain accurate financial records.
• Supervise the preparation of journal entries related to payables, accruals, and month-end closing activities.
• Collaborate with vendors, internal departments, and auditors to resolve discrepancies and inquiries promptly.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling data entry, invoice processing, and payment authorization.
• Utilize advanced Excel functions such as VLOOKUP formulas for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Support audits by providing detailed documentation of transactions and ensuring adherence to internal controls.
• Assist in training team members on accounting systems like PeopleSoft, UltiPro, Kronos, or ADP to foster a knowledgeable and efficient team environment.

Experience

• Proven experience in accounts payable management within a corporate or public accounting setting.
• Strong understanding of financial software such as Workday, Paychex, QuickBooks, Sage, Ceridian, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and internal control procedures.
• Proficiency in Excel data analysis techniques including formulas and spreadsheet management for reporting purposes.
• Experience with payroll management systems like ADP or UltiPro is a plus.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity while managing multiple priorities efficiently.
• Excellent analysis skills for identifying discrepancies and implementing process improvements.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors.

Pay: $32.25 - $35.45 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 per week
